A joyful change of programme
There has been a change of programme — but rather a happy one.
Darragh Morgan was originally due to appear with the Fidelio Trio, but will now bring us something rather special: his Beer and Beethoven Quartet. So, in a way, we win: one extra player, and an extra dose of fun, warmth and musical adventure.
This is a top-drawer line-up of professional classical musicians, all in constant demand across their own varied and illustrious careers — and what makes Beer and Beethoven so special is that they bring all that experience, artistry and musicianship into a programme that is informal, welcoming and full of shared enjoyment.
This promises to be a really special Highgate Sessions evening: world-class musicianship in the most relaxed, welcoming setting — no platform, no distance, no “them and us”.
